In November I interviewed Erika Maude, the Founder and Principal of the Scoliosis SOS Clinic.
It had been a busy day. I had already interviewed two other contributors. However, I was pleased to be able to fit my schedule around whatever time Erika was available.
During the interview Erika explained to me her personal scoliosis journey. It was surprising how similar ours had been. We both went to the GP at 11 years old where our concerns were dismissed, our curves were similar sizes upon diagnosis and we both wore braces. The only difference was she opted against surgery and took matters into her own hands.
After receiving exercise-based therapies in Spain, Erika returned to the UK and founded the Scoliosis SOS clinic, to offer scoliosis sufferers the treatment she had benefited from in Spain.
